MARK has made a sensational impact in little over a year since moving onto the professional circuit.
A trainee plumber from north Wales, Mark began playing on the WDF circuit at the start of 2006, winning the Europe Cup and Northern Ireland Open.
He then reached the semi-finals in his first appearance in a major event, at the World Masters, where he lost to Michael van Gerwen.
Mark went on to make his World Championship debut in January, and then produced superb performances in the International Darts League in May to reach his first major final, with Gary Anderson eventually denying the left-hander with a 13-9 win.
He bounced back to take victory in the Welsh Open, Canadian Open and Welsh Classic during the summer, before going on to reach the quarter-finals at the World Darts Trophy in September, losing to Mervyn King.
A Welsh international, Mark represented his country in the World Cup in Holland last month and claimed the Mens Singles title, when he defeated Robert Wagner 4-0 in the final.
